How a Wine Tour Works During the Executive Order

We understand that you may want to get out of the house and enjoy a fun day in the Texas Hill Country during these uncertain times. Well we are here to help and we would be more than happy to offer our services to make your day perfect.

On October 14th, 2020, Governor Abbott allowed Texas Bars, Wineries, Breweries, and Distilleries to open at 50% capacity provided the local county Judge allows their respective county to re-open to 50% capacity. The County judge for Hays County (Dripping Springs Trail) has allowed these venues to reopen as of October 14th, 2020. However the Gillespie County judge (Fredericksburg) has yet to make a decision.

Prior to this, the Governor made an exemption that allowed many venues to re-open provided they have food onsite, and the sales from that food will surpass 51% of total revenue in the coming months. This effectively turned many venues into “restaurants” and allowed them to open to 75% capacity. Many venues have installed food preparation on site, and require their patrons to purchase food in addition to alcohol when they visit.

Our tours have been adjusted to accommodate these changes. Due to the uncertainty of which venues are offering tastings, on-site consumption, and or bottle sales, we have discounted the price of our tours by the tasting fees we would have typically included in your tour. This allows our clients the freedom to choose which venues to go to, and whether they would like a tasting, a glass, or just a bottle!

We are attempting to comply and change with these uncertain times. Come out and support your local businesses during this shut down! We are available to answer any questions you may have!
