1851 Winery

1851 Vineyards  is located in Fredericksburg, Texas. Carl Hilmar Guenther started building Pioneer Flour Mills on the property in 1851. The original barn, main house, guest house, and smokehouse still remain today and serve as a Texas Historical Landmark.

William Chris Vineyards

At William Chris Vineyards, we focus on low impact 100% Texas grown wine. Owners and winemakers, Bill Blackmon and Chris Brundrett, sat down together and discovered they shared a love for winemaking, and William Chris Vineyards was born in a 100 year old farmhouse.
$20 tasting fee per person. Reservations required.

Four Point O

Pat Brennan of Brennan Vineyards, Gene Estes of Lost Oak Winery, and Kim McPherson of McPherson Cellars – had the idea of opening a winery in Fredericksburg. The result, 4.0 Cellars opened its doors in April 2012. The name highlights the goal to consistently reach 4.0 perfection in our wine making.

The 290 Wine Castle

A phoenix has risen and now resides just due west of Hye, Texas sitting atop a stone castle admiring the Hill Country and vineyards below. I hear a tale of the castle overflowing with wines from Spain, East and Northern Italy, California and the Texas High Plains with custom blends finishing in the dungeon chambers. Wood-fired pizzas and great gift shopping available along with Dungeon wine tastings paired with Artisan chocolates – $35 per person, Castle Turret private tasting- $25 per person, Walk-up tasting bar for 1 to 5 guests – $20 per person.

Barons Creek Vineyards

Our philosophy at Baron’s Creek is to bring you small lots of very fine wine from the best vineyards. We source our grapes from specialty growers throughout Texas, Washington, California and Spain. Whenever possible, we like to ferment as close to the vineyards as possible.

Pedernales Cellars

We source grapes from vineyards in the Texas Hill Country and Texas High Plains – most importantly from the original estate vineyard started by the Kuhlken family in the 1990s, where the story of turning Texas grapes into praise worthy wines began.

Calais Winery

Come visit our boutique winery and taste what results when winemaker Benjamin Calais combines his French heritage with a love for Texas.

Becker Vineyards

The Beckers created a hill country getaway. The couple had traveled extensively abroad and had always been passionate about experiencing culinary and wine delights. They bring great selections to you from their own Vinyards. Annual Lavender Fest held in Spring.

Fat Ass Ranch and Wine

If you elect to do a wine tasting, you can sample several of our unique, handcrafted wines. Every tasting purchase includes a complimentary Fat Ass glass. Specializes in sweet wines. Excellent photo opportunities abound. $10 tasting fee per person.

Texas Hills Vineyard

Located in the Texas Hill Country AVA, Texas Hills Vineyard was planted in 1995. Kathy and Gary Gilstrap purchased the land just outside Johnson City because it reminded them of the Tuscan countryside they loved to visit. Texas Hills Vineyard offers a variety of Texas wines and varietals. $10 tasting fee per person. Reservations required.

Horn Winery

Vintner’s Vault located in Hye has been a very popular store for winemakers since 2015. Now owner Ryan Horn has expanded the location to include Horn Winery and Azeo Distillery. Located in the Texas Hill Country outside of Austin, in the quaint town of Hye, Horn Winery is more than a tasting room. It is a venue for regular events and gatherings offering great wine and a fully operational distillery making craft spirits, for those who want to venture a little further from just tasting wine. Standard wine tasting fee $10 per person. Reservations required.

Woodrose Winery

Woodrose Winery makes a wonderful afternoon outing for any occasion. We pride ourselves on providing a relaxing, delicious, and educational experience – from our oak-shaded deck to a self-paced, seated wine tasting to regular events featuring gourmet food from around the world specially

Chisholm Trail Winery

Chisholm Trail Winery began producing wine for the public in August, 1999 and released its first wines at its Grand Opening Festivities on June 1, 2001. Chisholm Trail participates in all Texas Hill Country Wine Trail events, as well as, The Fredericksburg 290 Wine Road. Tasting fee of $15 per person. Reservations required.

Mendelbaum Cellars

Israel’s wine history is perhaps one of the richest on earth, dating back thousands of years. There are numerous biblical references to local vineyards, grapes being transformed into juice that provided an intoxicating effect. Israeli and Texas wines served. Alexander Vineyards

We have partnered with some of the top winemakers in France, Germany, Spain and Italy to offer some outstanding wines from these great regions. Hilmy Cellars

In 2008, Erik selected a site in Fredericksburg, Texas to pursue his passion for wine-making. The site chosen was previously farm land with heavy clay soil. His first order of business was to place a well and plumbing on the land to ensure proper irrigation, and also provide for a future tasting room. Our tasting room is situated on a working farm with many roaming animals. $20 tasting fee per person. Reservations required.

Messina Hof

In 1977 neither Paul Vincent nor Merrill Bonarrigo anticipated becoming the power couple that would help pioneer a growing Texas wine industry. At that time, there were few commercial vineyards in Texas and the idea that it would become the 5th largest grape producing state was nothing short of a dream.  $15 tasting fee per person.
